Hello ALL,

Mike has authorized me to share what he has found about the savings available when you change to Tri-Lakes Disposal.  In addition we will have less heavy traffic on our roads, it will be safer because there is less traffic, and we will not have trash set out four days of the week.  We have several homes for sale in Bent Tree, seeing trash out every day of the week could be the deciding factor in choosing a home.  Let’s help keep Bent Tree beautiful and safer.  Stop and look at your waste management bill when it comes and consider changing to Tri-Lakes instead.

Hope to see all of you tonight at the Budget meeting.

Duane - Welcome back.......I was reading the Jan 2008 BTPOA letter and saw where we are trying to get as many neighbors as possible to sign up with Tri-Lakes Disposal.  You gave some good reasons for switching so I called my current provider (Waste Management) to verify what my quarterly payments were.  I then called Tri-Lakes Disposal and inquired about their rates.  Tri-Lakes will provide the same disposal service for a quarterly cost of $66.00.  Waste Management is currently charging $73.59 (and sometimes adjusts upward for fuel charge) for the same option.  Furthermore, Tri-Lakes Disposal said that if we can get the required number of Bent Tree members to participate, that quarterly charge would drop to about  $45.00 per quarter!!!  That is a considerable savings.  I think that if you were to approach the community with not only the good reasons you gave to switch, but also some hard $$ reasons, I think the response would be great.  I know, having found out how much I will save to switch and how much more I will save if we get enough to participate, that is reason enough for me.  I will be switching when my current quarterly service is up.  Maybe have people compare rates and they may quickly jump on the band wagon also.
