Enclosed is a message from
Bill McDonnell about the trail next to his house on Roller Coaster. We need
some more eyes and cameras on this problem.
Also our new URL is WWW.BTPOA.net. Notice NET not ORG. We have not been able
to contact the ISP, they may be out of business. We are trying to retrieve our
ORG, for now we need to use NET.

We contacted the El Paso Sheriff's dept. We informed them of the problem, but
Duane, yesterday the ATV with two teenagers came by at a HIGH rate of speed, and
just about 5 minutes later, a group of young walkers came by the opposite
direction. There is no way they could have gotten out of the way of the ATV if
they were a few minutes earlier. This is a very dangerous situation. Getting
it on film, as the deputy said, is rather hard, he also suggested not following
them, as it may result in an accident. The deputy is going to be in this area
the next few days and will try to site them. We are thinking they may work
at the Kings Deer Golf Club and this is their means of transportation. This
morning it was 10:15 when one came by at a high rate of speed. Yesterday, I
tried to run out to stop them, but with no success. John Jones, a resident of
Bent Tree, saw them while riding his bike last week and we spoke. He said they
turned in Canterbury, but being on a bike, he could never catch up with the
individuals. I think these incidents should be emailed to all residents in
Bent Tree, as it could lead to a very serious accident, as many use the trail
and should be aware of the danger.

I would think calling the sheriff would be in order. If we can we need to get them on film, either movie or still pictures. That way the sheriff will have some proof and help in identification.

Since my last E-mail, the ATV returned Southbound along the walking trail but with both of the teens that were on it before.
Linda called to them but they ignored her and kept going into Canterbury.
We must stop this.
Would a call to the El Paso sheriff's office be of benefit?
Please respond.
Thank You,
Bill
