Subject: Solo Bear in Bent Tree
Date: Wednesday, August 12, 2009 9:27 PM

Bears are "a dime a dozen" in some neighborhoods, but still uncommon in Bent Tree.  Pete Skalla sent this report Wednesday, 12 Aug, at 12:44 PM.  Thanks, Pete.

Steve, wanted to let you know that we just had a mid size black bear saunter through our back yard.  We're at the end of Merrington Ct. off Queensmere.  The bear was headed west, parallel to Hwy 105.  No cubs in sight and the bear wasn't acting aggressively at all, so it's doubtful there is cause for concern.
